Lawrie of Glasgow bagpipes
Celluloid projecting mounts, caps. Tapered nickel ferrules on the drones. The stocks are not original to the set however are a close match and in keeping with the instrument.
Condition: very good, no anomalies of note other than replacement stocks. No cracks or damage of note.
Pipes come with cords and a Cameron Sheepskin bag.
Tonally the pipes are very good and tune in the right places. I believe them to be 1930s / 1940s era.
History: came from a piper in 5 Scots, Royal Regiment of Scotland. Pipes have travelled the world with the regiment and also were notably played at the Queen’s funeral.
