Early Lawrie of Glasgow bagpipes

Beautiful old set of pipes that produce an incredibly balanced and stable tone that projects powerfully to fill a room. The bass tunes nice and high and the tenors sit above the hemp line with ease.
The only point of note with the entire instrument is a differing tenor top – very similar but not an exact match – this is very common in old army pipes with broken or damaged parts being replaced from band stores. The tenors tune identically despite this such that it is a very good match. If anything I would question whether it improves the tenor harmonics as the tone this pipe produces is nothing short of class.
